The Thursday Club Foundation thanks you for your interest in our organization. We exclusively fund capital items for San Diego County Non-profits. Digital grant applications are accepted once a year from June 1 to July 15.

  • Grants are awarded up to $20,000 and shall not exceed that amount.
  • If the grant is awarded to your organization, funds will be distributed in May 2027.
  • To be considered for a grant, all candidates are required to read and meet the eligibility and funding guidelines listed below. Candidates who do not meet these guidelines, will not be considered for a grant.
  • The Thursday Club, The Thursday Club Juniors, and the Thursday Club Professional Benevolence Committees will review all eligible applications.

We are pleased to present you with our Benevolence Grant Application for 2026-2027.

Guidelines for Organizations Applying for Grants:

Eligibility

  1. Applicants must have a Federal 501(c)(3) and State 23701d tax-exempt charitable status for at least two (2) years.
  2. Applicants may not use a Federal 501(c)(3) from another nonprofit organization.
  3. Applicants must have been established and operating in San Diego County for at least two (2) years.
  4. Applicants’ current annual operating budget may not exceed $3,000,000 with the exception of organizations in Balboa Park.

  7. Thursday Club Foundation will grant only one arm of a multi-faceted or multi-programmed organization with a single tax ID number in any one grant cycle.

To qualify, the school must have Federal 501(c)(3) status or must have an associated foundation or group with that status through which the application is being made (i.e., PTA, Foundation, or Friends).
  9. Thursday Club Foundation does not fund municipalities or government agencies: it will only consider organizations with Federal 501(c)(3) status as noted above. No other form of tax-exempt status qualifies.
  10. Eligible Applicants will be interviewed and may have a site visit by a Thursday Club Philanthropic committee member.<\li>
